How to make your dynamo work

In order to ride your bike safely at night, it needs to be fitted with lights that are powered by either batteries or a dynamo. If the bike you are buying comes with a dynamo, please take note of the following:

The wire at the bottom of the dynamo needs to be connected to the front light. In order to do this, please pull the small plastic bracket out of the back of the light, thread the wire through the hole and push the bracket back into its original position which will secure the wire.

The wire from the rear light needs to be connected to the metal contact at the bottom of the dynamo. In order to do this, please press the dynamo's 'push-fit' upwards until the holes align, thread the wire through the hole and release the 'push-fit' which will secure the wire.

Once connected to the lights, the dynamo has to be adjusted to a height which will allow its rotary part to roll over the side of the tyre. In order to achieve this, please press the dynamo's metal lever downwards and tilt the dynamo until it touches the tyre.

Finally, please do not forget that the dynamo is a device that turns movement into electricity which means that it will only power the lights when you are actually riding your bike!
